Year 5 & 6

Around our level

Our Year 5/6 students have made a fantastic start to the 2026 school year, settling confidently into their new routines and responsibilities. Guided by their teachers, Mrs Macrae, Mr Smith, Mrs Smith, Miss Dixon, and Mr Hanley, students have approached the beginning of the year with enthusiasm and pride.

For our Grade 6 students, this year marked a very special milestone - their last first day of primary school. They proudly received their Year 6 bomber jackets, symbolising their leadership role within the school community. School captains have also begun their new roles, stepping up as positive role models and taking on added responsibilities with confidence.

Our Year 5 students have embraced their move to the BER, learning the procedures and expectations of upper primary. They have settled well into Grade 5 life, forming new friendships and choosing their teams as they begin the journey toward increased independence.

The year ahead promises many exciting opportunities, including camp at Camp Oasis in Mount Evelyn at the end of March, swimming programs, interschool sport, and a range of enriching learning experiences. For our Grade 6 students, the year will culminate in graduation as they prepare for their transition to secondary school. It is shaping up to be a memorable and rewarding year for all.
