Year 1 & 2

We are so pleased to see students settling back into the routine of school over the last week. Students have completed a variety of getting to know you activities with their peers. 

In Reading this week, students have been focusing on revising the short vowel sounds. For Writing lessons, students have read ‘The Crayons Go Back to School’, and have started making their own crayon books all about them. Students have brainstormed what they did over the school holidays and written a holiday recount. 

For Maths, students have been learning about data and graphs. They have completed activities involving bar graphs and picture graphs. 

In Wellbeing lessons, students have revised our school values of kindness, safety, and respect, and made a class charter. For Integrated Studies, students have brainstormed what History means to them. 

We have also continued to explore a range of space-themed activities for our classroom theme in Year 1/2.

Celebrating our Students

Students are nominated by their teachers to receive a certificate of acknowledgment. The below students' certificates will be presented at our next assembly.
