Principal's Message

Welcome back to a brand new school year. We hope the holiday break provided time for rest, fun, and special moments with family and friends. It has been a great start to the school year with students calmly settling into their routines.

A very special and heartfelt welcome to our Prep students as they begin their very first days of primary school. Starting school is such a big and important milestone, and we feel privileged to be part of this journey with you. We also extend a warm welcome to all new students and families joining our school community this year. We are so pleased you are here and look forward to getting to know you.

Curriculum Days 2026

We would like to share our scheduled Curriculum Days for 2026. These days provide valuable time for staff to participate in professional learning, planning, and collaboration, ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality learning programs for our students. Please note that some Curriculum Days are scheduled mid-week to align with staff work requirements.

2026 Curriculum Day Dates:

  • Tuesday, 26th May 2026

  • Wednesday, 26th August 2026

  • Monday, 7th December 2026

Please note that students do not attend school on Curriculum Days. Families are asked to make alternative care arrangements for these dates.

School Council

At the beginning of each school year, we would like to acknowledge the important role our School Council plays in shaping the direction of our school, supporting key initiatives, and providing a strong voice for our parent community. School Council works in partnership with school leadership to help guide strategic priorities and ensure our school continues to meet the needs of our students and families.

Key dates for early 2026 include:

  • Monday, 17th February 2026 – Final meeting of the current School Council

  • Monday, 17th March 2026 – Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Each year in Term 1, we invite nominations for School Council membership. Serving on School Council is a rewarding way to contribute to our school community, help guide important decisions, and support programs that benefit all students. We encourage interested parents to consider nominating and sharing their ideas and expertise with the council.

Further information about the 2026 School Council election process, including nomination details, will be sent to families shortly via Compass.

Yard Supervision

To keep all our students safe, yard supervision is provided at the front of the school from 8:45 am to 9:00 am in the morning and from 3:30 pm to 3:45 pm in the afternoon. Outside of these times, teachers are not on duty, so we kindly ask that children are dropped off and picked up during these supervised periods.

Car Park Reminders

Please take care to follow parking signs and rules, and be mindful of our neighbours, ensuring driveways remain clear. Parking inspectors do occasional checks, so it’s important to park in the correct areas.

Morning Drop-Off

The first carpark to the right of the driveway is for disabled parking. The next eight carparks are part of our ‘Kiss and Go’ zone for a quick, safe drop-off. Carparks to the left of the driveway are reserved for permit holders.

If needed, alternative parking is available on the bottom level of the carpark or around the corner on Yarra Road near McKerral Place.

Afternoon Pick-Up

The first carpark to the right is for disabled parking. The next eight carparks are for quick pick-up only.

Please do not leave cars unattended, and move once your children are safely in the car to allow others to use the space. If all spots are full, please keep circulating safely rather than blocking the driveway or road. Alternative parking is available on the bottom level of the carpark or near McKerral Place. Carparks to the left of the driveway remain permit holders only.

Please do not block the Keep Clear as it is difficult for emergency services to access the school or students to cross the road.

We really appreciate your understanding and cooperation. By following these guidelines, you help us keep our students safe, traffic flowing smoothly, and our school community respectful of one another. Thank you!
