Upcoming events and more from the P&F
Welcome back to all our wonderful families for 2026 and a special welcome to all the new families joining our amazing and beautiful school. We can’t wait to get to know you all and for you to become a part of this wonderful community.
I thought I would introduce myself to you all. My name is Georgette Di Manno and I am the President of the P & F Committee for 2026. I have 3 beautiful children. Luca who is 9 and in Grade 4, Sophia who is 7 and in Grade 1, and my third child Emilio who is 3 and just started 3-year-old kindergarten. He will also join his siblings at this amazing school in 2 year’s time! My husband Ben also attended this school when he was a child, so Holy Spirit has a special place in our hearts. Before children I was a primary school teacher but haven’t worked as one for a few years now as I have been busy raising three active kids.
The P and F Committee look forward to working with our amazing community in 2026 and we hope we achieve some great fundraising goals. We also look forward to organising some amazing social events for our students and parents! Please reach out to me if you have any questions or recommendations or just want to know how we run the P and F.

We are still on the hunt for a Social Events Coordinator and a Fundraising Coordinator. These are two very important roles and we would really love them to be filled. Essentially the Social Event Coordinator is responsible for organising and coordinating social events for families within the school community. The Fundraiser Coordinator needs to be able to oversee and organise and coordinate fundraising activities for our wonderful school. These roles can even be shared between a few parents to lighten the workload. If any parents want more information about what’s involved in these roles and what are the responsibilities please come and talk to me or you can email me at pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au.
We are also always on the lookout for General Members to join us. You can even come to one of our monthly meetings and see all the work we do behind the scenes and how we run the P and F. We always welcome new faces and new ideas. If you have a passion and interest to help our school community, and be involved in the fundraising/social side of the school I would love to hear from you!!
Here are some of the upcoming events and activities we have planned so far:
Come and grab a Zooper Dooper icy pole from the stall on the front lawn every Friday (weather dependent) in Term 1 for only $1. (Cash only)

The Second-Hand Uniform Shop will run from 2.50pm-3.20pm on Friday 13th in the P&F room (across from the church/hall at the end of the school car park; look for the building with the ramp access). We are also accepting donations of clean, pre-loved uniforms in wearable condition (no rips or stains).
The Holy Spirit Movie Night is back for 2026! This much-loved event will be a chance for Students and their families to come together for a night of dancing, laughs, a movie and the treats to go along with it. (Ticket sales link will be available shortly)
If you or a business you know would like to sponsor the event, please contact the P&F Team directly at pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au
We would also love some volunteers to help out on the night!!
The Holy Spirit Helping Hands group is made up of parents and carers who are able to volunteer for various jobs around the school. This might include helping distribute notices, selling icy poles, sorting the lost property or helping in the second-hand uniform shop. The time commitment can be as much or as little as you like and there are NO meetings to attend. If you are interested in joining Helping Hands, please send a message to Georgette Di Manno on 0431 301 006 and she will add you to the group.

Each year, we ask one or two parents from each class to volunteer as a Class Rep. The Class Rep is responsible for coordinating an opt-in online class group for parents, such as a WhatsApp group or Facebook group. The Class Rep may also coordinate birthday and end-of-year gifts for the teacher and LSO in their class. The time-commitment for this role is less than an hour per month and it can be shared between two people. It’s a great way to get to know other parents in your child’s class and most of the work can be done outside of business hours. If you are interested in being a Class Rep, please email pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au
Keep up to date on all things P&F through; Class Dojo, the fortnightly newsletter and our very own Facebook Group – search “Holy Spirit – Parents & Friends. Be sure to answer ALL the questions.
