Learning together as one community
We warmly welcome all of our families back for another exciting year of learning at Holy Spirit. It has been wonderful to see our students settle into their new classrooms and reconnect with friends and staff.
This term, students in Prep–Year 2 and Years 5–6 will be focusing on History, while students in Years 3–4 will be learning about Civics and Citizenship. Curriculum Overviews for each year level will be shared with families next week – please keep an eye on Dojo and your email for these.
We look forward to connecting with families at our upcoming Parent–Teacher Meet & Greets on Monday 16th February from 1:30pm. Students will finish at 1:00pm on this day to allow time for these meetings. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, learn about the year ahead and ask any initial questions.
Families are also invited to attend our Open Classrooms on Monday 2nd March at 2:45pm. Students will act as tour guides, proudly showing their families their learning spaces and classroom environments.
We are delighted to welcome Lena McCowan, our new German teacher, to Holy Spirit. We are excited for students to begin learning the German language and to explore German culture as part of our Languages program.
We look forward to a fantastic term of learning, growth and community.
Our online Parent-Teacher Meet & Greet sessions will be on Monday 16 February, beginning at 1:30pm via Google Meet. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and learn about the goals and expectations for the year ahead.
Purpose of the Meet & Greet:
Please note that students will be dismissed at 1:00pm on this day. Extend will be available for families who require this service.
Booking an Appointment
Appointments will be booked via the nForma Parent Portal. Instructions on how to book are attached. New families to Holy Spirit will need to activate their account by following the instructions at the top of the page (you may have already completed this when updating your child’s medical information).
The Google Meet link will be shared via your child’s Class Dojo page closer to the day.
We look forward to working in partnership with you to support your child’s learning and growth throughout the year.
