Our second year of Enrichment is officially underway and it has kicked off with a bang! Students have jumped straight in, bringing great energy, curiosity and enthusiasm to their sessions.

On Friday, our Year 7 and 8 students wrapped up the week with Enrichment during Period 5, exploring a wide range of programs across Arts, Sports, Communication and Service. Our Year 9 and 10 students had their turn on Monday during Period 5 and it was wonderful to see students so engaged from the very first sessions. This year, we are excited to introduce several new programs, including Swimming, which will see students attend Melton Waves Leisure Centre starting this Friday 13th February and Monday 16th February. We are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity and look forward to seeing students build confidence, skills and enjoyment in the water.

Alongside some much-loved returning favourites such as Bake My Day, Taste of a Continent, EGames and School of Sports, we have also launched a range of new offerings. These include Shark Tank, Anime Club, Walk This Way, Duty Student and School Beautification Crew, Adulting 101, and the Diversity Week Planning Crew. There is truly something for everyone.

We are also fortunate to have an external hip-hop dance teacher, Trevor, working with students in Dance. It was a joy to see students leaving the session still dancing after Monday’s class, a true sign of engagement and enjoyment!

Students in the Dragon Slayer’s Guild were busy curating their characters and forming teams, while students in Debating Club were discussing stimulating topics such as whether celebrities should be required to offer public apologies for mistakes they make. It was wonderful to see students engaging in thought-provoking, inquiring conversations.

Our Duty Student and School Beautification Crew have already begun meaningful work, conducting surveys and completing a school-wide audit to identify areas that need a little extra care. This reflects our ongoing focus on connection and belonging. Enrichment provides students with a platform to have their voices heard and to see their ideas actively shape our school environment.

Across all programs, we aim to intentionally embed the Four Capabilities of Critical and Creative Thinking, Ethical Capability, Intercultural Capability, and Personal and Social Capability. Enrichment is a time for students to connect, grow, and flourish, and we are so excited to see what this year brings!
