Upper Kiewa Cluster Swimming Carnival
Today our students in years 3-6 attend the cluster swimming carninval. Our school hosted the event with students joining us from Falls Creek PS, Dederang PS and Tawonga PS.
Students arrived at school dressed in their house colours:
Mitta - Red
Murray - Yellow
Indigo - Blue
Kiewa - Green
Years 3-6 walked over to Mount Beauty Pool together under their house banner, excited and full of energy.
Congratulations to all of the swimmers on their sportsmanship, participation and efforts today. Well done to all of the age group champions. We're very proud of you Banjo, Loki, Miranda and Harry.

In PE this term, Prep to Year 3 students will be working with Kathryn develop their fundamental movement skills like running, jumping and throwing and teamwork skills. They continued on Thursday with some more throwing games and tunnel ball. What fun! It's been great to use our multipurpose space during those hot afternoons.
The Year 4 to 6 students will be working with Dave on Monday afternoons. Their PE classes will focus on developing a variety of athletics skills. This week we looked at throwing with power. We practiced throwing the vortex in preparation for the athletics carnival later this year. It was great to see active participation and enthusiasm amongst the students and some great throwing skills.
