Relationships building
The start of our new school year provides a valuable opportunity for staff, students and families to build strong, positive relationships and to get to know one another. This is a key focus of our start up program during the first weeks of school, as these connections form the foundation for learning, wellbeing, and personal and social growth throughout the year.
School Captains
At the end of last year we had the pleasure of listening to grade 5 students nervously and proudly present their School Captains speeches for 2026. Each candidate came well prepared and gave very compelling reasons why they would be great leaders of our school for semester 1. We announced the result to our community at our Awards Assembly which was received with cheers and applause. Congratulations to Zoe Mangan, Lilly Kennedy, Jerome Murray and Bobby Watson. Their first official job will be next week's assembly.

Communication
XUNO is our primary platform for whole-school communication. Important updates, information and team newsletters will be shared through XUNO, so please ensure you have access to this portal. If you do not yet have access, please contact the office, we will be happy to help. We also encourage families to check that their email address and contact details recorded in XUNO are current and up to date at all times.
At RPS, we recognise the importance of open and effective communication, and we want all families to know that we are available to support. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s schooling—whether academic or related to wellbeing—please contact your child’s classroom teacher via XUNO. For urgent matters, we recommend contacting the school directly by phone.
Whole school Assembly
Another great way to find out what is happening is to come along to our Assembly each Monday at 2:50pm in the BER building. This is where we celebrate our weekly awards - Student's of the week, Reading Stars and our Cool to be Kind awardee.

5/6 Quantum Excursion
Our grade 5/6 students and staff had a great day at Quantum yesterday programming.
