Leadership in School
Leadership roles play a vital part in fostering a strong school community, and at St Joseph's, every student from Prep to Year Six is encouraged to participate in these experiences. Whether through classroom responsibilities, student council, or special projects, each child is given the opportunity to develop essential skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. By involving all students in leadership activities, we nurture their confidence and empower them to become active, responsible members of our school community and beyond.
We would like to take the opportunity to introduce the SRC & Environment leadership team for Semester Two.
Student Representative Council
These fantastic leaders will work on multiple initiatives across the school in the second semester. They will work closely with Mrs Harrison, Miss Dillon, Miss Coldebella and Mrs Tobin to look at a range of social justice initiatives and safety policies for our school.
These students will also be in charge of leading our New Building Opening and Blessing. Important work has already begun on this wonderful event. Be sure to RSVP to the Operoo as soon as possible. We can't wait to celebrate this special occasion with our families.
Thank you to our Year Four and Five SRC leaders, Immy, Eddie, Maya, Harriet, Liam, Penelope, Laine & Ava C who have been busy interviewing some of the key members of our school for a something special at our building blessing.
Environment Leaders
Please join us in welcoming our Environment Leaders for Semester Two
As part of the Environment Leadership team, these leaders will work closely with Mrs Doran as part of our sustainability programs and approaches at St Joseph's. These wonderful children will assist in the Garden, work with Bunnings in our Vegetable Garden, oversee the coffee and stationary recycling programs and most importantly, monitor classroom activities to distribute Joey, our sustainability mascot across the school.
They may also be busy creating sustainable gifts for the Father's Day stall!
Year Six Leadership
Last, but certainly not least, it's a pleasure to highlight the wonderful work our Year Six students are doing as part of the Year Six Leadership initiatives. This term, students are working across a variety of initiatives, that include
- Book Week
- Footy Colours Day
- Father's Day
- Tournament of the Minds
- St Joseph's Footy Classic
We look forward to seeing these students shine in their respective leadership roles as the term goes on.
