Fresh Food Fair 2024

Friday November 1st - 3:30pm-7:30pm

2024 Surfside Primary School Fresh Food Fair

The Surfside Primary Fresh Food Fair is right around the corner, and we're excited to invite you to be a part of this incredible community event!

Scheduled for November 1st, 3:15-7:30pm, this annual fair is not just a celebration of our school and its vibrant community but also a crucial fundraiser for our esteemed Kitchen and Garden program. Our Kitchen and Garden program, which distinguishes Surfside Primary in the region, relies entirely on the success of our Fresh Food Fair. Through this program, our students gain invaluable hands-on experiences, cooking and gardening, setting them up for a lifetime of healthy living skills. The Fresh Food Fair is coordinated by the school alongside a dedicated committee of volunteer parents and friends. To ensure the success of our Kitchen and Garden program into 2025, we are reaching out to invite more parents and carers to join our committee to continue the great work that has already been done. We understand that everyone has busy schedules, so we've made it easy to contribute. Whether you can spare a couple of hours on the fair night itself or help out during the lead-up or pack-down phases, every bit of assistance counts. There's no task too small – from logistical support to pitching in at our garden bee or assisting with our kitchen cook-up sessions, every helping hand makes a difference. Leading up to the fair, we'll be organising a few meetings. If you can attend, wonderful! If not, simply let us know how you'd like to contribute by filling out this form and we'll coordinate accordingly.Your involvement not only strengthens our school community but also enriches the experiences of our students.

Join us in making this year's Fresh Food Fair the best one yet!

We need help in the below areas – please click this link and fill out if you can assist in the lead up to the FFF.

  • Sponsorship Crew (works best having a small team, previous team available for handover). Your crew will have access to our FFF email account, existing letters and to the spreadsheet with all the contact and donation details listed from previous years. The sponsorship crew email businesses requesting sponsorship and/or donations and reply to supporter emails and organise collection of donated items etc. Your crew will manage the master donation list (list contains all contacted businesses and services, donation list, co-ordinate the donation list between Raffle, Silent Auction and Lucky Envelopes. This ensures businesses are not getting multiple requests for the same event).

  • Promotion (putting up posters locally, local event listings)
