An information session for parents
As many of you are aware, our teachers have been implementing the Talking the Talk, Health and Sexual education program that involves a series of lessons that focus on physical, social, and emotional changes.
The content of these lessons comply with the Australian Curriculum and is recommended by the Department of Education, and is focused on Respectful Relationships, Consent and Sexuality Education.
Online Parent Information Session
On Thursday 15 August, at 8pm, sexuality educator Vanessa Hamilton will host an online parent information session, "Talking The Talk, Healthy Sexuality Education".
During this online session, Vanessa will discuss the importance of discussing human sexuality, consent and respectful relations with your children.
If you are interested in attending this online information evening via Zoom please click on the sign up link. See the attached flyer for more information.
Virtual Classroom
Our Fairfield parental community has access to Vanessa’s Virtual Classroom which provides parents with a wide range of resources to help support these discussions.
You can access the portal for the Virtual Classroom here.
For those of you who are unable to attend the information session, Vanessa has a pre-recorded video where she covers the topics that will be discussed for you to access. You will also be able to access a Parent E-Book Guide and Vanessa’s extensive list of resources. This will be distributed after the online event.
