Mathematics
In Term 3, our students will explore various mathematical concepts. They will delve into the properties of shapes and learn to measure and classify angles. Lessons on location and transformation will cover coordinate systems and geometric movements. Students will also develop skills in calculating percentages and basic financial maths, helping them manage money and understand interest rates. Additionally, they will investigate patterns and algebra, focusing on the order of operations (PEMDAS/BODMAS) to solve complex expressions. We anticipate a term full of exciting discoveries and growth in mathematical understanding.

How can you support your child’s Mathematics learning at home?
To support your child’s learning at home, you could encourage them to:
- Use real-life situations to teach maths, such as cooking (measuring ingredients), shopping (calculating totals and change), and budgeting (planning expenses).
- Play games that involve maths skills, like board games that require counting, strategy, or pattern recognition.
- Encourage them to explain their thought process, which helps reinforce their understanding.
