Throughout this term, Level 5 students will focus on analysing, comparing, and transferring poetic language devices from their reading into their own writing. They will explore various poetry styles beyond rhyme and set structures, delving into rhythm, tone, and flow. Students will investigate techniques such as figures of speech, sensory details, perspective, and varied sentence structures to enhance their poetry writing. They will expand their vocabulary and experiment with precise and evocative language to convey meaning and emotion effectively.
