Secondary School Parent Information Evening
Wednesday 18 February (Week 4), 6pm - 8:30pm
Emmaus Performing Arts Centre (EPAC)
This information evening will be a great opportunity to connect with your child’s Home Group teacher, meet other families in that class, and learn more about the year-level relevant information and supports in place for students.
The evening will commence at the Emmaus Performing Arts Centre (EPAC) with coffee and nibbles at 6pm with the sessions beginning at 6:30pm.
After a short introduction in the EPAC, parents will move to elective sessions, including
a Year 7 Home Group Session, Year 8 Home Group Session, Year 9 Rite Journey introduction and a SACE information session for Years 10-12.
We look forward to connecting with you in person and to a wonderful year of learning, growth and community in 2026!
ECC Art Exhibition is Open!
The Visual Art Faculty are excited to announce the Opening of the inaugural ECC Art Exhibition Fundraiser for Generation in Jazz. We have collected over 95 pieces of work ranging from ELC students all the way up to Year 12's and Emmaus Staff. We would like to thank all entrants for their time, effort and enthusiasm in helping make this happen. This exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate creativity across the school community while also raising money for Generations in Jazz.
Viewing the Exhibition
The exhibition is open to all. Families are welcome to visit any day after school between 3.10pm and 4:00pm.
Class Visits
Classes will visit the exhibition via a teacher sign-up system, and the exhibition will be open during break times.
Silent Auction
Some artworks are available for purchase through a silent auction to raise further funds for Generations in Jazz. These works are identified with a special icon next to the artist’s name. To bid, write your indicated price on the silent auction form located at the entryway to VA.2. At the conclusion of the exhibition, winning bidders will be required to make payment at Student Services. Once a receipt is provided, the artwork will be released.
A massive thank you to everyone who created and contributed work. So far we've raised $605! Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, energy and support; it has helped make this exhibition possible.

Year 9 and 10 Studying the New Testament Epistles
Over the course of 2026, our Year 9 and 10 students will be working through all the letters of the New Testament in our weekly assembly devotion presentations. Each class has the opportunity to present to the wider secondary assembly, drawing on their study of a particular letter in Biblical Studies lessons. These presentations explore the context, key themes and ongoing relevance of each letter as well as their own personal response and insights.
Through this focused study, students encounter how the apostles apply the good news of Jesus to problems they face and see the ongoing power and relevance of these teachings today. Themes such as perseverance, unity, humility, love, integrity and servant-hearted leadership have prompted thoughtful discussion and reflection.
A key emphasis is developing intentional engagement with God’s Word. Students are guided to read carefully, ask questions of the text, pray in response, and consider how biblical truth applies to school life, family and friendships.
We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside our Year 9 and 10 students in this process. Please join us in praying that the seeds planted through their study of the New Testament letters will continue to grow, shaping them into young men and women grounded in faith, wisdom and Christ-centred purpose.
Career Focus Session - Medicine
Thursday 26 February (Week 5, Term 1)
Time: 8:55am - 9:50am
Location: Year 12 Study Room
This year, we’re excited to launch some new initiatives designed to support students as they explore future pathways. One of these is Career Focus sessions, an opportunity to highlight industries of strong interest within our current student cohort.
Career Focus sessions will highlight an industry, featuring guest representatives, alongside Old Scholars, who will share their real-world experiences and insights. The aim is to give students up-to-date information about pathways and employment prospects, while also providing valuable time for students to ask questions and explore their options.
Our first Career Focus will take place in Week 5 this term and will focus on Medicine pathways.
Students will hear from a current medical student (Ben Pruszinski) and a qualified Doctor (Lucy Heil) about their journey into Medicine, their experience of the application process, and tips for success. They'll cover the UCAT, ATAR and the Interview process for both Adelaide and Flinders University.
Students in Years 10–12 who are interested in learning about Medicine pathways are invited to register via their year level Google Classroom.
This event is not to be missed if your student is considering a Medicine pathway.
