What a wonderful day we had on Friday 21st of February down at the Crib Point Pool. Every student in Year 3-6 participated and earned house points for their team. The smiles on the faces after the events was inspiring to see. Every student challenged themselves and gave new events a go! The support for every student was incredible.
Thank you to all of the parents, family members and friends who came down to support and cheer on the swimmers. Events like this need extra support and it was truly appreciated.
The overall winners on the day was Williams house but overall it was very close right up until the last few events.
Participation is the focus of this carnival and to have every student in the pool for the final events of the day is always a highlight.
From our school swimming event our District Swim team was selected from the students who competed in the 50m events, previous swim teams and swimming lessons last year.
Our team were incredible and represented the St Mary's spirit so well. They supported each other in the swim events and were without a doubt the best cheer squad of the day!. Thank you to the parents who supported the school with transport, we appreciate it. The number of family supporters for our swimmers was high and we value your being able to see your children compete proudly for their school.
We had lots of big smiles with ribbons at the completion of the heats and a big congratulations to Charlie in Gr 4 for making it to the next level in the 50m Butterfly event.
It is Little Athletics Season and many of our St Mary's students are a part of the Western Port Little Athletics and have some fabulous results recently.
