First Day of School:

On our first day, we completed lots of different activities. Here are some pictures of the fun things we did! 

Literacy:

In our literacy lessons, we’ve been exploring narratives, focusing on the structure of stories, including the beginning, middle, and end. We’ve listened to various stories, writing about their beginnings, middles, and endings. Additionally, students have created their own stories, thoughtfully incorporating all three parts: beginning, middle, and end.

Mathematics:

In mathematics, we have been working on understanding the numbers from 1 to 10.

• We had a special focus on the number 8, where students created spiders with 8 legs and explored how the number can be broken down into two parts.
• Students also enjoyed making jellyfish as part of an activity to practice numeral recognition and one-to-one correspondence.
