Parents' Association

It's been a busy first few weeks of school. We had our first PA committee meeting last week and it's exciting to hear about all the fun things the school and the PA have planned already for this year. It was great to hear that the Welcome Picnic was a great success last week. I was disappointed I couldn't make it. The team of volunteers manning the BBQ report that it went well and there were lots of happy kids and parents.

Did you notice the volunteers' smiling faces and how fun it can be to volunteer and help out? Please consider this in the future as we have a few more events coming up. Reach out to me or Michelle at the office and we can add you to the volunteer list, or just sign up when we send out a request.

We have the House Athletics next month where the Parents Association donate and hand out icy poles to the competing students (Yrs 3-6). We ask for some volunteers on the day as naturally all of us want to watch our own kids compete. Consider if you could give up some time (maybe 1 hr) or maybe you have younger children and want to see what the athletics carnival is all about. We'll send out a link in the next Rocket but consider keeping Friday 21st March clear.

Whilst you've got your diaries out also block off Friday 28th March - our Colour Explosion will be an absolute blast that the kids will not want to miss out on!

We are also planning to hold our second hand uniform shop along with another Parents morning tea on Thursday 20th March. So another date for the diary. We are hoping to hold a morning tea each time we hold the uniform shop so that while you are waiting you can get to know others and also stay undercover. We are looking at holding them on different days throughout the year.
