The students have begun the school year with the Start Up program designed to build a positive culture and establish routines. As part of this, they will review the school norms and create a class agreement and the students will participate in a range of VWB (Visible Wellbeing brain break activities) to promote a co-operative, kind, calm and happy classroom. Short brain break or brain boost activities will continue to be part of the daily practice at school.

With the introduction BYOD program, we will focus on responsibility and integrity when using technology in the classroom. The ICT Agreement will be unpacked with the class to ensure there is a collective understanding of what is expected. The students will engage in a series of sessions from the ESafety Commission focusing on responsibility and how to keep themselves safe when using technology.

As part of the latest RRRR program update, students will focus on Personal and Cultural Strengths. The aims of this program are:

  • To consider how they use their personal and cultural strengths.
  • To establish respect for people and for Country.
  • To use personal strengths and to build upon them.
  • To use personal strengths in different situations.
  • To respect diversity.

Embedded in the wellbeing program, the students will focus on the skill of coping and will learn a range of important life skills to cope with adversity and maintain inner calm and bounce back.
