YEAR 12 VM AT THE FUNKY FARM

On the 20th of February, the year twelve vocational major class attended The Funky Farms as our term one excursion. This excursion correlated with our Work-related skills class (WRS), and our Personal Development class (PDS). In our WRS class we were investigating how work health and safety, would be recognised in this work setting. and for our PDS class we were participating in the community, and investigating how locals would be attracted into coming to the Farm.

Funky Farms is a collaborative and all-inclusive wildlife sanctuary for all ages. Some of the animals you will meet is Tyrone the Emu and his kids, Wombats Boo and Wade, reptiles including a three-meter saltwater crocodile named Fluffy, you will also meet and cuddle a Dingo, feed and walk beside wallabies, kangaroos. and that's just to name a few.

Our learning experience included taking note on how The Funky Farms look after their animal’s wellbeing, and the staff them self’s. We talked about many safety procedures with our tour guide, and as a class asked questions related to your unit topic gaining knowledge towards our SAC.

As a whole we all spoke positively about this excursion and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting The Funky Farms.
