SENIOR STUDENTS 

Senior Students Kick Off the Year with Energy and Enthusiasm!

As Term 1 progresses, the senior teachers are loving the positivity and atmosphere in their senior classes and around the yard. The students are embracing the challenges of their final years of school with a sense of purpose and excitement. From engaging class discussions to community projects, our senior students are demonstrating not only their academic drive but also their ability to support and motivate one another.

At MESC we take pride in fostering an environment where students can thrive, and this includes being both mentally and physically prepared for the day ahead. We’d like to remind all senior students and families of the importance of arriving at school ready to learn. This includes:

• Getting enough rest: Adequate sleep is essential for staying sharp and focused throughout the day.
• Being organised: Come prepared with all necessary materials, including laptops, notebooks, and correct school uniform.
• Attendance: Making sure that students attending all classes so teachers can authenticate their learning. If you are absent for a SAC due to illness, make sure you are submitting your medical certificates/stat decs. Current attendance rates are below.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind students that our school is here to support them every step of the way. Whether it’s seeking guidance from teachers, accessing well-being services, seeing Leanne or Alex in the careers office, or participating in extra-curricular activities, we’re here to help you thrive!

Let’s continue to embody the values of being Happy, Smart, and Prepared as we make 2025 a year to remember for our senior students. Keep up the great work!

• April 4th – Last day of term - Early dismissal at 1.15pm
• Tuesday April 22nd – Start of Term 2​
