The new composting system of class food scraps are distributed to the chickens, worms, and vermin proof bins in order to invigorate the soil in our productive gardens.
We are sowing winter seeds such kale, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, and leafy greens. We were lucky to have Mrs Gray help classes make zucchini spaghetti with beetroot, corn, onion, zucchini, carrot, celery, basil, and parsley from the garden.
We are trialling a Term 1 monitor mentor program for the many students who showed interest in caring for the chickens this year. Some people have asked where the chickens were bought so I’ve included the business logo below so you can google more information.
