Attendance

PRIMARY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE -
EVERYDAY COUNTS & EVERY MINUTE MATTERS
Late Arrivals and Early Collection of Children
While we understand that there may be occasional circumstances where your child needs to arrive late or leave school early, regular attendance and being on time are essential to their success at school. Every minute in class contributes to their learning, and we want to ensure they get the most out of their time with us.
Whenever possible, we ask that appointments or other commitments be scheduled outside of school hours to avoid disruptions to your child’s learning.
Here’s a reminder of our expectations for late arrivals and early departures:
Late Arrivals:
We encourage all students to arrive at school on time, ready to learn by 9am. If your child arrives after the second 9am bell:
- Please come to the office with them to sign them in. (If a student arrives without a parent, the lateness will be recorded as unexplained unless a parent provides a reason.)
- Avoid taking your child directly to their classroom after the 9am bell. The first bell rings at 8:55am, and students should be in their classrooms, ready for learning, by 9am.
Early Departures (Outside of Regular Pick-Up Times):
If your child needs to leave school early:
- Please come to the office and speak with one of our staff. For safety reasons, staff may ask for ID if they don’t know you.
- We will contact your child’s classroom, and they will come to the office with their belongings.
- If you’re able to call ahead, we can make sure your child is ready at the office when you arrive, helping to save time.
Thank you for helping us ensure that your child’s learning time is as uninterrupted as possible. Your support makes a big difference in their overall experience and success at school.
