Wow, we can’t believe the VCE students have finished classes for the year.
Thank you Senior School families for supporting your child over the past few weeks with their commencement or continuation of VCE. It has been great to see the students working in their new subjects and getting to know their VCE teachers.
Students will have holiday homework in each of their classes which they can work on during their break. They should be handing this work in when they return.
Congratulations to the Year 12 class of 2023 on finishing this chapter of their life. However your exams went, whatever the results may be, the school is here to support the students to find a pathway. Enjoy the well deserved break!

2024 Year 12
| Return to school on Tuesday 30 January for the Year 12 Conference Unit 3/ 4 classes commence on Wednesday 31 January. |
2024 Year 11 | Return to school on Thursday 1 February unless they are completing a Year 12 subject which is timetabled on Wednesday 3 January |
Year 12 Conference
The Year 12 Study Conference will be held at school on Tuesday 30 January 2024.
The Conference is a compulsory activity as it is an integral part of the Year 12 curriculum. It has been designed to provide students with an informative start to their final year of schooling. Year 12 classes will not run on this day as all students are expected to participate in this scheduled school event. Morning Tea and lunch will be provided on this day and students should wear comfortable casual clothing. Year 12 families can find more information on Compass.
Year 12 Formal
The MGSC Year 12 Formal will be held on Friday 9 February 2024, at Merrimu Receptions Murrumbeena. The Formal is a fun, enjoyable and important part of our school year providing our students the opportunity to further develop their relationships with peers and teachers. More information has been shared with the students and will be emailed to families.
