Library Awards

At last week’s assembly the following students were randomly drawn from our Library Awards box:

Congratulations to these students! They will all receive a book of their choice to keep from our special selection set aside for this purpose upon their next classroom library visit from Mrs Way. We love to see our students borrowing and enjoying all the wonderful books that are available!

Lamont Book Fair

Thank you for the overwhelming support from our school families with this year’s Book Fair!

Our students really enjoy the opportunity to browse and look at the variety of books that they may not ordinarily see at the usual bulk bookseller stores.

With sales reaching almost $6,000, we received approximately $1,500 in commission! This will be used to purchase books for both our classrooms and the library.

We hope that your children thoroughly enjoy the books purchased.

Overdue Books

With only three weeks to before the end of the school year, overdue book notices were printed off earlier this week and distributed to classrooms and students.

Should your child bring a notice home, we ask that you help your child look at home and try to locate books that may be listed. If any items are unable to be found, kindly annotate/sign the notice and return it to school so that we can have a look elsewhere! Thank you in anticipation of for your support with this.

It was also the last week for borrowing from the school library this week with lots of Christmas books being popular choices. Students will continue to have their weekly library sessions but will not be bringing books home as we commence the end of year library stocktake. Thank you for your support in helping your children remember their library bags and sharing the love of reading each week.

We hope your children have enjoyed borrowing and sharing many of our great books!!
