Sophie's cheerleading team has had a brilliant year in the mini novice division. Out of 4 competitions they achieved three 1st place and one 2nd place and were State Champions in their division. Last Friday, Sophie's team competed at Nationals! They were nervous to compete against the whole of Australia but they have been practising hard in the lead up. They performed well on the day but unfortunately didn't finish in the top 5.
What an amazing effort to be State Champions and be able to compete at Nationals.
Amira performed with the Australian Girls Choir for their annual concert a few weeks ago. The girls worked so hard with rehearsals leading up to it and they did so well!
This weekend Mason will be walking in a charity walk called 'Laps for Love for Autism' which his brother has (and is non verbal). The family have all been raising money for the charity.
Shayla achieved her Junior BP with Mooroolbark Girl Guides. The Junior BP is a really big deal. Shayla had been working on this award for somewhere between 1.5 and 2 years. To complete your Junior BP, you need to complete 12 challenges across the areas of Promise and Law, Guiding traditions, Service, Patrol System, World Guiding and Outdoors.
This is the 2nd highest badge possible for her age group!
We are so proud of Shayla’s achievement.
On the weekend Layla and Anna competed in Nationals for Cheer. They were beyond excited to compete against some of the biggest teams across Australia. The girls section (small gyms) was joined with the big gyms section and they were up against 10 teams! The girls were so proud to come 4th overall receiving a trophy and coming 1st against all small gyms!
On Saturday afternoon myself, Darcy, my sister Jordan and some of our team mates were invited to do a lap of honour on behalf of our cricket club (Mooroolbark Cricket Club) before the WBBL game.
The game was Stars v’s Renegades and although it got rained out Stars still won and we got to watch heaps of fire works and live music.
This years Lilydale and Yarra Valley Show, Jai entered 2 of our chickens in the Backyard Chickens exhibit, taking 1st and 2nd placings (photo attached is with his favourite and now also 1st placing chook).
Jai also entered the Rum Balls (Chocolate Balls) and was awarded 1st place.
Eden recently played a lead role in her dance academy's annual production, this year for the Wizard of Oz. We were so proud of her as she really challenged herself and managed to get all her lines out beautifully in front of more than 300 people watching!!
Mikayla and Sophie from grade 4 are members of the Sparkling Stars dance troupe team from Vibe Studios. On Sunday 26th November their team competed against 9 other teams from around Australia in the AASCF National Championships in the youth lyrical category, and WON!
Their team are now National Champions!!!
