School Divisions

The Friends’ School is subdivided into a Primary School (Early Learning to Year 6), a Middle  School (Years 7 & 8) and Senior School (Years 9 to 12). Administration and maintenance staff, under the general supervision of the Director of Business Affairs, Shaun Sargent, and the Director of Community Engagement, Bill Avery, serve these three sections of the School. The main School office is open between 8.30am – 4.30pm throughout the year except during the Christmas and New Year period and public holidays.

Learning Areas Years 9 – 12

All Senior School teaching staff are members of at least one of eight learning areas. These correspond to the learning areas identified in the Australian curriculum: The Arts, English, Health, Humanities, Languages, Mathematics, Science and Technology. Each learning area has a Leader who is responsible for the development and delivery of the program in their learning area.
