From the Foundation Team:

As we approach the end of the school year, we reflect on the incredible journey your children have embarked on in their very first year. From forging new friendships to embracing new routines, their growth has been remarkable.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and trust in us to nurture and educate your special children. It has been a privilege to witness their achievements and milestones, and we are immensely proud of the great start they have for the years ahead.

Looking Ahead:

Numeracy

The upcoming weeks will focus on revisiting key concepts covered throughout the year, ensuring a solid foundation for future mathematical success.

Students will immerse themselves in activities that reinforce fundamental skills such as addition and subtraction, counting on, understanding equal groups, interpreting graphs, and participating in measurement activities. These lessons aim to consolidate their understanding and boost confidence in applying these mathematical principles.

Students can anticipate engaging lessons that include interactive and game-based activities. These approaches not only make learning enjoyable but also foster the development of numerical fluency.

Literacy

As we approach the final weeks of this term, our students are fully engaged in valuable lessons. In these concluding weeks, our focus remains on enhancing letter-writing skills. The students are eagerly practicing this art by composing letters to Santa, connecting with their new Grade 5 buddies, and even reaching out to their prospective teachers for the year 2024.

This creative and educational endeavor not only hones their writing abilities but also fosters connections within our school community.

BRAVO TO EACH AND EVERY FOUNDATION STUDENT (AND PARENT!)

YOU HAVE HAD A FANTASTIC YEAR!
