5/6S Student Comments

Ace: My favourite activity was the swimming. I liked it because I go swimming all the time but I don’t get to use a board. There were so many things to do, it was great. The food was high quality - I liked the Bolognese, it was delicious and one of lunches was also so good. I loved it so much – it was a really good camp.

Cruze: I enjoyed camp because of the bike riding we did and going boogie boarding in the ocean. I liked the food we had for dinner. Also, I liked playing cricket on the beach and doing the Beach Challenge.

Grace: I really enjoyed the fun games we played. My favourite activity was the boogie boarding activity. I had lots of fun learning how to do it and I had lots of fun catching waves; I caught six really good and big waves. Overall, I really enjoyed this camp and it was my favourite camp that I’ve been on with school. Camp Wyuna was really fun!

Jacob W: I liked the food, and I had two favourite activities, they were the boogie boarding and the bike ride. I liked the bike ride because bikes are super fun to ride. The boogie boarding was my favourite because I love swimming and boogie boarding in the ocean.

John: My favourite thing that we did on camp was the bike ride. It was so fun and we were riding right next to the sea. There were a lot of fun games in the middle area of the camp, such as volleyball, basketball, gaga ball, carpetball, table tennis and 8 ball (pool).

Kayden: Boogie boarding was amazing, we got in and straight away massive waves started coming in. It was great fun because I caught heaps of waves and got heaps of sea salt in my mouth! That was actually a bit gross but over all it was so amazing - I loved it.

Khan-Lee: I enjoyed camp - it was fun with friends. My favourite activity had to be bike riding because I really love riding bikes, it’s one of my favourite things to do. Boogie boarding was really cool and it was good to learn how to do it.

Liam P: For my first camp, this was amazing! My favourite activity was easily the boogie boarding. While getting thrown off the board and flying around like a helicopter on a sugar rush, we even saw a DOLPHIN! At first, we all thought it was a shark until it did a full leap out

of the water. Amazing! This was the BEST camp ever!

Lilliannah: I loved camp and my favourite activity was the beach challenge it was really fun. One day I want to take my family there and I want to show my sister where I went for camp, especially the beach and the waves.

Poppy: I enjoyed the whole camp it was very fun! My favourite part was the bike riding it was very fast and we went a long way, right near the sea. The food was also really enjoyable: I liked the pasta, but I adored the vegetables, particularly the carrots. I had the best time playing volleyball, and at the beach.

Sieanna L: I enjoyed the food especially the desserts. My favourite activity was bike riding, I liked bike riding because it’s calming and relaxing. I also enjoy boogie boarding because it’s easy to catch waves and you can turn in each direction. I loved camp, it was fun.

Thegn: I had a lot of fun and my favourite activity was the bike riding because it was a calming activity. I love riding mountain bikes; we also rode along next to the beach and I saw dolphins. Then we hopped off the bikes and went for a walk and while we were off we got told some interesting history.

Angus: my favourite activity was going boogie boarding, because we had some amazingly humungous waves, the only annoying part was when one of the waves threw me six feet forward!

5/6H Student Comments

Ash-lee: Out of all the activities like bike-riding, scavenger hunts and building sandcastles, I choose boogieboarding as my favourite. As a first timer, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had, and even though the water was freezing cold, it was still an amazing experience.

Brody: The best thing at camp was the volleyball court; it was a fun game to learn. The bike riding was also fun but not the part when I crashed into the fence! Boggie boarding was great too, the waves were big and the water was very salty.

Declan: The best thing at the camp was boogieboarding. It was a fun experience as I learnt about rips and where to drop to ride the wave. It made me happy because it was on the last day. My mum told me some history of my family like my pop and uncle who used to surf and started with boogieboarding.

Georgie: The best thing was the boogieboarding activity, and everything water-beach related. I also found it extremely amusing how when we went into our cabins, there was a chair on top of the closet we had. We were dying of laughter for at least 30 minutes, if not more!

Indy: The best thing about camp was boogieboarding and bike riding. At camp we had rooms, and I liked how we had privacy. I also liked eating the food, it was delicious. Lastly, I loved having my friends in my room.

Jake: The best activity was the beach challenge; I really enjoyed the boogieboarding, even though I had a very scary but funny incident when I got winded underwater.

Joshua: The best thing about camp was that we didn’t have to travel to any places on the bus once we got there, we could just stay and do the activities. I also had a room with my friends.

Myllah: The best thing about camp was boogieboarding because the waves pushed me along and I enjoyed the talk about safety when you are in the ocean. I got to be in a room with my friends, and the food was so good. When we had free time I would play volleyball in the sand. The YMCA staff where nice to I had fun at camp.

Noah: The best thing at camp was the beach. Boogieboarding on the beach was the most spectacular experience I’ve ever had! The cold fresh water just gave me chills all over my body! The wind blowing, the sound of waves on the water… it’s the best experience ever!

Parky: The best activity was boogieboarding because I love the ocean and it was my first time doing it. Also, one of my favourites was volleyball at Camp Wyuna, when we got a chance to play we had a fantastic time spiking and serving. At Camp Wyuna the food was also great, and it was fantastic making our lunch after brekkie on Friday.

Stevie: The best things about camp were playing gaga ball and boogieboarding. My favourite things to eat were the Anzac biscuit slice and the burgers for lunch. I got really lucky with my cabin with all my friends and we had our own bathroom.

Tamika: The best part about camp was boogieboarding, but the beach challenge was close second. The funniest part of camp was when we realised that there was a chair on top of our storage shelf in our room, I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard!

Tyler: The best thing that I did at camp was probably boogieboarding; it was really fun especially when It came to catching the big waves. The second best thing would probably be the gaga ball pit; it was probably the only thing I did for free time. There were lot’s of things that you could do there like gaga ball, volley ball, basketball, table tennis, and even pool.

Willow: The best thing about camp would have to be the beach. I have never been to the beach before and I really liked it; I would definitely go again if I could. The boogieboarding was the greatest - it was challenging to ride waves but I still had a go.

Zavier M: Out of all the activities the boogieboarding was my favourite even though the waves weren’t very big, but I also loved the bike ride. The activities at camp were really fun.

Zavier A: The best activity we did at camp was boogieboarding, the bike riding and the beach challenge. My favourite thing to do at Camp Wyuna was volleyball and gaga ball.
