The BNPS Team

Beaumaris North Primary School Staff

My sincere thanks to every member of our school staff for their ongoing commitment to every aspect of the education of our students throughout the year.

Teaching Team

I would like to sincerely thank our exemplary team of teaching staff who have provided not only an excellent educational program for the students in their care but also provided pastoral care when required by students.

Our teachers have clearly demonstrated a willingness to go above and beyond the teaching of the '3 R’s'.

I greatly respect and appreciate every role they have fulfilled both within the classroom domain and other whole school activities.

The role of a teacher has changed dramatically in recent years and the aspect of student welfare has increased significantly. I would like to thank the staff for their ongoing commitment to this aspect of a child development and for always being there for both the child and their extended family.

I would also like to congratulate all staff for always being there for each other.  Our team approach ensures that every person at our school has a 'safe' person who will always support them.

To the whole team at Beaumaris North Primary School for who you are, what you have done and for demonstrating what an amazing professional, caring and dedicated team of staff.

Leadership Team

Our school is led by a team of staff not one individual.  I would like to sincerely thank my Principal Class Officers in Debbie Murnane, Jo Taylor, Tania Maxwell, and Angus Ross for supporting me with every aspect of the Principals role and responsibilities.

I would also like to thank the members of our School Improvement Team (SIT). Each member of our SIT Team has a specific whole school portfolio, and they team with the PCOs to monitor and develop our School Strategic Plan and the Annual Implementation Plan.  Ms Georgia Keyes-Tilley, Ms Naomi Holt, Ms Tania Maxwell, and Mr Angus Ross are members of our SIT.

To the whole team at Beaumaris North Primary School, thank you for who you are, what you have done and for demonstrating what an amazing professional, caring and dedicated team of staff.

Wellbeing and Inclusions

In 2023 we rolled out the implementation of the Respectful Relationships Program. I would like to sincerely thank Ms Sheridan Duffy-Fainu’u and Ms Lauren Lowers who managed the implementation of this program with the loss of all previous team members. During term 3, Sheridan and Lauren co-opted Vicky Argyropoulos to work as a critical friend and mentor regarding the Respectful Relationships, Rights and Responsibilities program.  Vicky is a former Assistant Principal of 14 years and worked at one of the largest Secondary Colleges in this state. She has extensive experience in the areas of Health, Wellbeing and Education. Her background in Psychology gave her the opportunity to support her school to lead the RRRR program as a pilot for the Department of Education during 2018.  The RRRR program is steeped in these principles which aim to create healthy and safe learning environments to enable students to thrive and flourish.

Specialist Teachers and Specialist Programs Unique to BNPS

Our students are extremely fortunate in not only having exemplary class teachers but also outstanding specialist teachers. This year students in Prep to Year 2 experienced specialist library lessons with Deb Ball while students in Years 3 to Year 6 enjoyed a semester of a specialist science lesson with Mrs Dani Jones.

All students experienced a weekly lesson of art with Arla Anderson and Nicole La Gerche, Music with Joanne Ratten, Di Ullmann or Helen Griffiths, Physical Education with Kirsty Hall or Dan Farmer, and Japanese with Koji Shinyama.

Mrs Pam Collins runs the Beaumaris North BEET program, which is an enrichment and extension program that caters for talented mathematical students in Years 3 and 4, who are beyond the standard curriculum. Pam designs her program to meet the needs of the individual participant and provides them with the opportunity to explore more complex mathematical concepts and ideas.

Canteen & Uniform Shop

On behalf of our 380 families and 518 students, thank you Jenny Marashli for managing the canteen and preparing lunches for our children.  Thankyou Annie Thomas for assisting Jenny in the canteen, as well as managing our school uniform shop. Managing the uniform shop onsite greatly assists our families at all times.

We are so appreciative of our parent support in these areas of our school operations and would like to make a special mention of Mr Ben Miskin. Ben has volunteered his services to the canteen on a weekly basis. Thank you, Ben - your willingness to volunteer ensures things run smoothly especially each Friday when the lunch orders average 280!

Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

Kelly Szabo has led our Outside School Hours Care Program throughout the school year.  Kelly and her team not only care for the students attending OSHC but plan their program in line with the Units of Inquiry being studied in our classrooms.  Kelly ensures that our Wellbeing approach and the focus on the PYP Learner Profile is integrated into the OSHC program.

At this time we are very lucky in that every aspect of school programs and facilities are managed totally by the school, and we do not have to outsource to an external provider.

Our Casual Relief Teachers (CRT’s)

I would like to thank our regular casual relief staff who assisted us greatly throughout the school year.  Their professionalism, skills and adaptability ensured that our students always had a teacher in front of the class. Our CRTs are just another aspect of our teaching team. Their willingness to teach in any year level or specialist area is greatly respected and appreciated by our teaching team.
