Farewell Year 6
Year 6 Students
Wednesday 20 December 2023 will be the final day of primary school for our Year 6 students as well as many of our families.
This year we say goodbye and thank you to 53 long-standing families:
Abiuso, Barratt, Black, Bowerman, Brown, Bunny, Cowen, Crompton, Crowe, Davies, Dimachki, Doherty, Dooley, Dunn, Durham, Eade, Elliott, Ferguson, Goodbody, Gwilym, Hargreaves, Higginson, Holt, Hough, Hulme, Key, Kochergin, Kouroumilhalis, Lewis, Levant-Feldman, Lidgerwood, Madziala, Magree, Marshall, McMahon, Nassau, Nicholls, Ording-Jespersen, Perret, Phillips, Robertson, Seretis, Shlimak, Smith, Stickland, Sutton, Svanberg, Tew, Trantino, Topcu, Yu, Welsh and Whitelaw families.
When reading though these names we can also remember the contribution these families have made for the school over the years they have been associated with the school. Many of these names can be associated with our fetes, concerts, literacy programs, graduation evening, and always being there to provide positive support and encouragement.
This year our Year 6 students have demonstrated excellent student leadership for our entire student body.
I would like to sincerely thank the School Captains who met with me each week and ensured that I was in touch with what our students really needed and wanted.
Thank you also the students who successfully fulfilled the variety of leadership positions and responsibilities.
Our Year 6 students demonstrated their exemplary speaking skills by conducting our Anzac Day and Remembrance Day services.
Thank you for managing the Mini Market. This was a new initiative associated with their economics unit of work and a project that assisted all their families with financial support. This was also a unique event and one that all of our student body enjoyed immensely.
It is always with a tinge of sadness when our students leave our school. Many of us have marvelled at their growth both academically and emotionally since they first commenced here in Prep in 2017.
Our loss is the gain of the secondary schools they will be attending.
