Sporting Schools Grants

As part of the Sporting Schools Grant program, Brinbeal Secondary College has been able to offer basketball and cricket coaching. Students have had the chance to participate in the coaching sessions for each sport twice a week during lunchtime. The students have been able to learn new skills and consolidate their existing skills during these sessions. Thanks to Mr Wanyama for applying for the grants and coordinating the coaching sessions.

Knitting & Crochet Club

At Crochet and Knitting Club I get an opportunity to learn new skills and I get to make amazing things like scarves, bags, beanies, etc. I have made many things and learnt new skills like doing a double crochet, and triple crochet, how to make a circle, how to join 2 or more different colours of yarn, etc. I also like to enjoy hanging out with my friends during the club and as well as making new friends. I would love for the crochet and knitting club to continue next year.

I like coming to crochet club because it has supportive and welcoming members. It is also very interesting and fun since you learn how to knit and crochet things like clothes or bags. I also like how in crochet club you get equipment for free, and you get to keep projects and only return hooks/knitting needles. I liked the scarf I made since it is warm and comfy and I get to design it however I want.

I like attending Crochet club because I get to make fun projects like making bags, scarfs and other cool stuff. Because of Crotchet club I was able to meet new friends and bond closely with  people who I was already friends with. I have developed plenty new skills from coming to crotchet club consistently like crocheting/ knitting new patterns and making bags but with different designs. I hope that crotchet club continues next year since it has so many great benefits and the new Year 7s can also make new friends by joining and also having fun at the same time.

I love the Crochet club as I have made a bag and working on my second one all so fast! With Ms Paleo, she has taught me a lot about Crocheting.
