2024 Reflection

by Jonehri Jose

The term is almost finishing and I just want to reflect on the year. The first day was really something and the opening of the school was wonderful but I can’t go back to that time now, just going forward into Year 8. Meeting new teachers, challenges and feelings was the big priority to me at the time. Not long after was Camp Sunnystones and it was so magical that I almost went missing there. Walking on the mountain was scary but I knew I’d be okay. I was suffering in the scorching sun all day long until we went inside, where the living room floor was so deep down. I remember sitting and eating grilled sausages. Then a day after I did activities at school and more. I remember when I started learning new things and meeting other new challenges that were tricky, hard and overwhelming, but now into Term 2.

Term two was a long term but with loads of public holidays and pupil free days. I started meeting new people and started knowing the school better than before. I was getting more confident in school and calmer than the first day of school. At the end of the term we went to the movies to watch Inside Out 2.

Now onto Term 3, where it was the excursion term like beach volleyball. The best things were playing volleyball.

Now to the last term. It was a spectacular term. We had plenty of special days like Scienceworks, Adventure Park and Year 8 Orientation. It was a good term and I just need a long rest in the holidays after saying goodbye to everyone.
