PREP NEWS 

Dear Prep Families,

 

What a fantastic start to the year! Thank you to all the parents for dropping off your children with such positivity it has been wonderful to share this milestone with you. 

 

The students had an amazing first day, settling in like seasoned experts.  Our morning began with some calm colouring to ease into the day, followed by our first morning circle, where we got to know each other. We then enjoyed reading The Pigeon Goes to School and had a fun scavenger hunt with the pigeon to explore and familiarise ourselves with the school. Afterward, we had a lovely recess outside as a Prep cohort and finished the day by organising pencil cases and decorating our special 'first day of school' crowns.

Thank you again for trusting us with this significant moment in your child’s life. We couldn’t have asked for a more memorable start and are excited for the year ahead, including building strong connections with families.

 

Important Reminders:

  1. Prep Interview Days:  The next five Fridays will be Interview Days for Prep students. On these days, your child only needs to attend for their assigned time slot. If you require a reminder of your allocated time, please contact your child’s classroom teacher. The dates are:

    • Friday, 31st January

    • Friday, 7th February

    • Friday, 14th February

    • Friday, 21st February

    • Friday, 28th February

  2. Shortened Days:  Monday, 3rd February, and Tuesday, 4th February, will be 2:00 pm finishes. Please ensure your child has both recess and lunch packed for these days. Regular 3:30 pm finishes will commence from Wednesday, 5th February.

  3. Their Care Service: We are pleased to confirm that Their Care (Before and After School Care) is available on the Interview Days. Please contact the school office if you need support booking a place.
