Welcome to the 2025 School Year!

I am thrilled to welcome all students, families, and staff to another exciting year at Red Cliffs Secondary College. It has been great to see our students return with enthusiasm, and I extend a special welcome to our new Year 7 students and their families. They have settled in remarkably well, embracing their new environment with energy and positivity.

A strong start to the year begins with being well-prepared. It’s nice to see students engaged in their classwork, taking pride in their school uniform, and ensuring they have the correct equipment for their learning. Being ready for class each day sets the foundation for success, and we appreciate the support from families in reinforcing this at home.

School Photos - Our school photos went smoothly, and it was wonderful to see students present themselves so well. For those who were absent, catch-up photos will be taken on Monday, 10th February. Ordering is now live via the Compass portal, and we remind families that late fees will apply to orders placed after 17th February.

Swimming Carnival - Thursday 20th February -  The whole-school Swimming Carnival is fast approaching! It is always a highlight of Term 1, and we are pleased to see so many families have already provided consent via the Compass portal. If you have not yet done so, please ensure consent is completed to allow your child to participate in this event. If you need assistance with logging into Compass, please contact our front office team on Phone: 03 5024 1522.

Year 7 Welcome BBQ - A reminder that we will be hosting our annual Welcome BBQ for Year 7 families on Wednesday 12th February from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for our new students to proudly show their families around the school and for parents and carers to meet our dedicated staff.  We look forward to seeing you there!

School Council Elections -  Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday 19th March. We have vacancies available for parents and community members who are interested in joining our School Council. This is a valuable opportunity to have a voice in shaping the direction of our school. If you are interested in nominating, please contact the front office for a nomination form on Phone: 03 5024 1522. 

Booklist Process – Future Improvements -  I acknowledge that there have been some frustrations with the booklist process this year, and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. We have already taken steps to improve this process for 2026 we are investigating an external book company to streamline ordering for families, students, and staff.

Staff Updates – We are fortunate to welcome new staff members to Red Cliffs Secondary College, alongside the return of experienced teachers who continue to strengthen our commitment to student success. Their passion for education and student engagement will further enhance the learning experience for all.
