STUDENTS FIRST DAY - MONDAY 3 FEBRUARY

 

KINDER STUDENTS - arrive between 8:45am - 9:15am on the front playground.

 

STUDENTS YEARS 1-6 - make their way to the back playground from 8:30am

We warmly welcome Fr. Anderson who is replacing Fr Rafael in the Holy Family Parish. 

OPENING SCHOOL MASS 

Please join us for our 2025 Opening School Mass and presentation of our 2025 school leaders. The Mass will be held on Friday 14 February at 9:10am in the church.

FIRST RECONCILIATION MEETING

The First Reconciliation Parent Information Evening will be held on Monday 10th February at 6pm in the Parish Hall. This meeting is for parents of Year 3 students and any students in Years 4-6 wishing to make their First Reconciliation. If your child has not yet registered for the sacrament of Reconciliation please complete the form by clicking on this link as soon as possible - LINK. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be held on SATURDAY, 22nd March at 10am. Further information to follow.

ASSEMBLY - FRIDAYS FORTNIGHTLY

After further consideration, as we are conscious of interupting valuable learning time, we have decided to have our assembly fortnightly on a Friday at 2.45pm on the back playground. Awards will still be allocated weekly but will be given out fortnightly.

ST AIDAN'S MUSICAL 2025

We are extremely excited to announce that St Aidan's will be showcasing a musical this year which all students at St Aidan's will star in. The musical will take place towards the end of Term 3 - dates to be confirmed. Students will have the opportunity to audition for parts in the musical. Information will be sent out in the following weeks.

SHOWGROUP 2025

St Aidan's showgroup will now be split into Girls Hip Hop Showgroup, Girls Jazz Showgroup and Boys Showgroup. Auditions will be held in the coming weeks and will be open to students from Years 3-6. Showgroup sessions will be Wednesday mornings before school and during one lunch time. Further information regarding auditions will be sent shortly via a Compass alert. 

LUNCH ORDERS

The lunch order service will reopen on Wednesday 5 February

NEWSLETTER

The newsletter will be sent home fortnightly on a Friday. We strongly encourage you to read our Newsletters to stay up to date with all that is happening at St Aidan's and also take note of events that are coming up. 

CHOIR

The school choir will be held on a Thursday morning with Mrs Shaw at 7:45am in the Parish Hall. The choir is open to students from Years 2-6. Choir will start on Thursday 13th February.

MOBILE PHONES & SMART WATCHES

All students are to drop their mobile phones and smart watches to the school office when they arrive at school between 8.30 and 8.50am. Teachers will return the devices to students at school dismissal at 3:10pm.

BACK PLAYGROUND WORKS

SCS has been working with the Holy Family Parish on plumbing around the school grounds. The lower back playground has undergone some major underground plumbing work which should be completed by Monday.

ST AIDAN'S SCHOOL HOURS

School days begin promptly at 8.50am. Staff are on duty on the back playground from 8.30am. School days finish at 3.10pm. Students are dismissed from the front playground. Staff are on duty until 3.30pm.

SAFE DROP OFF & PICK UP

Just a reminder that the parking on Maroubra Road directly out the front of the school is 5 minutes only. To keep our students safe please follow this rule and please DO NOT double park or park across or in the school, parish or surrounding driveways. Please be mindful that there are many students being dropped off and picked up, so a prompt and safe drop off is appreciated. Our priority is to keep our students safe at all times.

SPORT UNIFORM DAYS 2025

All students K-6 will wear their Sport Uniform on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY.

ALL BOYS MUST HAVE THE SUMMER SCHOOL SHIRT WITH THE SCHOOL CREST. 

  • The summer school shirt with the school crest has now been part of our uniform for 2 years with a two year transition window which has now finished.
  • All boys need to be wearing the school summer shirt with the school crest as this is part of the summer uniform.

HAIRSTYLES

  • Extreme hairstyles for boys or girls are not appropriate for school. 
  • Hair is to be neat and tidy and tied back if it is longer than shoulder length with only school coloured hair accessories white, dark green or navy. 
  • Boys hair should not be shorter than a number 2 and should not have any patterns or lines. Long hair should also be tied back and fastened.

JEWELLERY

No jewellery (bracelets and necklaces etc.) should be worn to school. No wrist bands at all. A wrist watch is appropriate for school. For safety reasons, children with pierced ears should only wear stud earrings.

Enrolments are now open for  Kindergarten 2026. You are welcome to submit applications for younger siblings or new enrolments. 

 

 

P & F SECOND HAND UNIFORM SHOP

The second hand uniform shop will be opened by appointment only for Term 1. Please contact Jo on 0423 023 272 to arrange an appointment.

 

The P & F Committee are asking for parent volunteers for the uniform shop. They are flexible with opening times/days and if you are able to volunteer, please contact Jo on 0423 023 272.
