Message from the Principal
St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.
Welcome to Week 10 of Term 4!
Only a few days left of another school year! What a period of growth we have seen from everyone! It has been another year full of rich experiences- camps, sport, science incursions, library visits, just to name a few. Hopefully along the way, lifelong memories and friendships have been forged. I thank everyone for your ongoing support of this wonderful community. To all our amazing staff, who go above and beyond every day to ensure learning experiences are rich and students are engaged. To parents and carers - thank you for entrusting your wonderful children in our care. And to our amazing students - thank you for embracing the opportunities provided and for helping all of us be the best versions of ourselves.
On Thursday we celebrate the graduating class of 2024. Whether it has been seven years or one year at St Peter's it has been a privilege to see these young adults flourish with leadership opportunities this year. I look forward to hearing their memories and stories!

We farewell Bronwyn Chamberlain, Monica Bowen and Sonia Lopez. We thank them for their contribution to the St Peter's community over a number of years and wish them all well in their new adventures which sees Sonia relocating to Queensland, Bronwyn working at Orchard Grove Primary School and Monica moving to St John Vianney Mulgrave. As 5/6 teachers most recently, Monica and Bronwyn have ensured that our students leave St Peter's well prepared for the joys of secondary school. Sonia has taught in the junior and middle areas of the school, helping students become confident in their abilities. There will be an opportunity to thank these staff at our Carols on Tuesday 17 December at 12:15pm.
We welcome Amelia Burnie to a new position at St Peter's as a STEM specialist teacher. She brings with her a depth of knowledge of integrating technology with science, maths and the arts to provide an engaging curriculum to develop our students as problem solvers and critical thinkers. Thalia Kurzel and Karen Abrahams are both new in 3 /4 and come with a wealth of experience; Rebecca Zhang is a current Year 5 teacher and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge in a new setting.
Students will meet their new teachers at our transition session from 11:30-12:30pm on Friday 13 December. Much thought and knowledge has been put into forming classes for 2025 and I thank all teachers for their input in this process.
We are in the final stages of preparing end of year school reports for our students.
These will be available through the PAM app after Tuesday.
To access the report: click on 'Assessment Reports' in PAM on the side menu and Semester 2 will be sitting there under Semester 1 2024.
I congratulate all students on the growth that has been demonstrated.
On Tuesday we thanked some of our wonderful volunteers with a morning tea catered by staff. This was an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for the support provided in so many ways throughout the year. St Peter's is a rich place because of our volunteers who truly bring our vision of ' an empowered faith community to enrich the world' to life.
