Prep/1/2 Brain Teaser

Riley bought some bags of candy canes so he could give his friends some Christmas treats. The candy canes are sold in bags of 10. How many bags might Riley have bought for his class? How many canes might there have been left over?

Year 3/4 Brain Teaser

If 3 French Hens all wore 5 gold rings, how many rings do they have altogether? If the eight maids a-milking had 5 gold rings each, how many rings is that?

Year 5/6 Brain Teaser 

When I put my Christmas tree together, there were 32 branches on the bottom row. Each row above it had half the number of branches as the previous row. How many branches did I need altogether? How many rows does my tree have?
