FOUNDATION

The Foundation students embarked on an exciting learning journey about becoming doctors, exploring how to identify and treat symptoms such as sore tummies, head knocks, burns, asthma attacks, and cuts during their classroom lessons. To enhance their understanding, they received a special visit from a paramedic from St John of God, who conducted an engaging first aid session focused on responding to emergencies. The paramedic taught the students practical skills for staying calm and helping others in urgent situations. The highlight of the program was when the foundation students practiced their doctor skills on their Grade 6 buddies, who enthusiastically played the role of patients. This interactive experience, coupled with the paramedic's expertise, boosted the younger students' confidence while fostering teamwork and mentorship between the two year levels.

GRADE 3 DISCOVERY CENTRE

On Tuesday, the Grade 3’s went to the Discovery Centre. We looked around at the different exhibits, they were so cool how they set up everything. People faced their fears on the vertical slide, that is the tallest in the Southern Hemisphere. We had fun making marble runs and we had to try and make them run for 5 seconds. We had a great day!

GRADE 6

Grade 6's were lucky enough to have a visit from Stef Cola, Director of Engineering : Ligantic.

The students were introduced to AI, how it works and its benefits. They played a game on their computers.  The game had seven levels to complete using AI, each level getting harder to crack the code. I'm pretty sure the students enjoyed this lesson and experience.
