Mass
We welcomed Fr John Paul to Sacred Heart School to again lead us in Mass. This was our beginning of year Mass and an opportunity to welcome all students, staff and families to our Sacred Heart School and Parish community.
Our next celebration of Mass will be on Ash Wednesday, Wednesday 5th March 1pm.
Mayor visit
Students welcomed Mayor of the Towong Shire, Andrew Whitehead to classrooms. While many of our students know the Mayor as Miss Whitehead's Dad, for others it was the first time meeting him and learning about his role in the Towong Shire. Our Year 5/6 students had many great questions organised for him, which he answered enthusiastically giving our students a greater understanding of how the Towong Shire supports the people of Corryong.
Hockey and AFL Workshops
Next week Miss Lockwood has organised workshops for our students to learn more about Hockey and AFL. The Hockey workshop will be a one off session next week and the AFL workshops will continue throughout the remainder of the term.
Sacred Heart School Community BBQ
We look forward to having our Sacred Heart School community together for a casual evening BBQ.
Parent & Carer Community Group
We welcome old and new P & C community members to our first meeting of the year! We understand that many people in our community have commitments to other organisations and can't always make multiple meetings, so our aim is to meet 1-2 times a term.
2025 Pupil Free Days
A reminder of our Pupil Free Days for 2025, please note the extended school holidays at the end of Term One.
As we end Week Four, we keep Pope Francis in our thoughts and prayers as he fights ill health recently.
