Heavenly Creator,
As the earth awakens with the gentle touch of spring, we give thanks for the renewal of life all around us. The days grow longer, and the air carries the scent of new beginnings.
Bless the seeds that break through the soil, reaching for the warmth of the sun. May they flourish and remind us of the potential for growth in our own lives. Help us to see the beauty in every bloom, the joy in every bird's song, and the promise of each new day.
Guide us to embrace this season of rebirth with open hearts. Let us shed the weight of winter and step forward with hope, gratitude, and love. May we be inspired by nature's resilience and find the strength to nurture our own dreams.
We ask for your blessings on all living things that thrive in this time of renewal. Grant us the wisdom to care for the earth and all its creatures, so that we may live in harmony with the world around us.
Amen.
Spring seems to be upon us! There are lambs in the paddocks, daffodils standing proud in golden bunches throughout Hobart and stunning magnolias along Sandy Bay road as we head towards our College. As we step into the season of Spring, we are greeted by the unmistakable signs of renewal and rebirth. The chill of winter gives way to the warmth of the sun, and the once-dormant earth begins to burst forth with life.
In the natural world, Spring is a reminder of God’s unfailing promise. Just as the barren trees bud with new leaves and the flowers bloom in vibrant colours, we too are called to renew our spirits and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. This season invites us to reflect on the transformative power of God’s love in our lives. It is a time to let go of what has passed and to welcome the possibilities of the future with open hearts.
In our College community, Spring also represents a time of growth and progress. Our students are deep into their studies, nurturing the seeds of knowledge that will blossom into wisdom and understanding. Let us encourage them to continue their academic and spiritual journeys with diligence and faith, trusting that the efforts they invest today will bear fruit in the future.
As we enjoy the beauty of this season, may we also be reminded of our responsibility to care for God’s creation. The earth, in all its splendour, is a gift that we are entrusted to protect. Let us be good stewards of this gift, recognizing that our actions today will shape the world for future generations.
In closing, I invite you all to take a moment each day to appreciate the beauty of Spring and to reflect on the ways in which this season can inspire personal and communal renewal. May we be filled with the hope, joy, and peace that Spring brings, and may we carry these blessings with us throughout the year.
Capital Works Update
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that the successful tenderer was Fairbrother, who will be working with the College to build our new Early Years Kindergarten and Prep classroom spaces. This new space is the future of the College as we look to grow our primary classes, provide contemporary learning spaces across the College and ensure our presence on Sandy Bay Road best represents our vision and mission. Due to be completed around April next year, works will be commencing this week! We will update families regularly with aerial pictures, online tours and a ‘Breaking of the Ground’ ceremony in the next week. Special thanks to the Capital Works Committee after many months of meetings, planning changes, submissions and grant applications, we would not be starting without your commitment to the College.
Validation Feedback
Thank you to all families who took the time to share their feedback. There were many positive contributions and some honest feedback which will help form our five year strategic planning for the College. I look forward to sharing our commendations and recommendations after the Validation process is complete.
