SHREK! The musical

Since commencing our rehearsal period in Term 1 this year, our fabulous cast has shown great enthusiasm and dedication to bringing Shrek the Musical to life. For our students who were new to the world of theatre and for those who had dabbled in it previously, the cast approached every rehearsal with focus and fun. 

Students explored the various skills that each performing arts discipline demands, including singing, acting, and dance. At the same time, our backstage team grew their skills by creating captivating sets, props, costumes, and makeup designs. As the students work towards the common goal of presenting a polished and entertaining performance, it has been equally important that they learn and develop their interpersonal skills throughout the process. 

They have shown a tremendous ability to step out of their comfort zone both artistically and socially, accepting and overcoming any challenges they face. 

With students ranging from Grades 7 to 12 participating in the show, the support they have shown for one another has been exceptional and is truly a testament to their character and our school’s performing arts culture. 

On behalf of all the staff involved, we congratulate the entire cast and crew on their efforts in bringing this funny, heartfelt and fantastical show to the stage.
