Focus on Good Manners at Holy Family!

On Wednesday, eight Year Six students worked very hard from 8am until 5pm, writing a book in a day, as part of a challenge to raise money for children with cancer.

Congratulations to our "Write a Book in a Day" team - Olivia, Jaslyn, Oscar, Katie, Seoa, Sophia, Elizabeth and Zander. They all worked so hard to brainstorm ideas, plan the storyline, write the 9 chapters, illustrate the chapters, design a front cover and back cover/blurb as well as editing the whole book. I am so proud of the way they all pulled together, using their unique talents to create this amazing story. They had to include the following parameters in their story:

Character - environmental scientist

Character - skateboarder

Non-human character - mermaid

Setting - stage Issue - magical headphones

Please take the time to read their book (linked below).

We have also been raising money for the children with cancer, and we can accept donations until the end of September. If you are able to donate, please use this link to our Holy Family team page:

Well done to the whole team.

Congratulations to our year 2 boys who played for Holy Family Lindfield Wizards and Lightning in the winter football competition. The boys learnt about having fun, working as a team, communicating strategies and working out who enjoyed what roles.  The parents had a great time spending Friday nights and Saturday mornings together. Thanks to our team managers Tom and Amish as well as all the parents who supported the team in various ways during the season. Good luck for our gala day tomorrow.
