Staff Spirituality Day

On Monday the staff spent the day at Orchard Hills, Cana Farm.

Cana Farm is the home to a Social Enterprise, and Cana Communities initiative, offering skill-building opportunities for those facing employment barriers.

Through hands-on farming experience, they provide a supportive environment where individuals can develop essential skills and confidence for broader job prospects. The community members produce, package, label, and distribute our products.

The Holy Family Staff spent time in the vegetable gardens assisting with weeding and planting ~ one of the many important jobs the workers at Cana perform each and every day. The sun was shining and we rolled up our sleeves and enjoyed time talking and getting our hands dirty.

After a delicious farm produced lunch we were fortunate to listen to the story behind the Cana Community and all the amazing experiences the volunteers and workers have had while working at Cana. This community provides invaluable opportunities for people who have had a difficult time in life and just need the chance to put themselves back on the right track. Modelling the community on Catholic values and Jesus' teachings.

As a staff we were so grateful to have this opportunity to give back.

Happy Weekend
