Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
This past week has been an eventful and exciting one for our Holy Family community. I want to take a moment to celebrate some of the wonderful activities that our students and families have been involved in.
Staff Spirituality Day
Our staff had the unique opportunity to participate in a special day of faith formation at Cana Communities in Orchard Hills. This staff spirituality day was not just about professional growth; it was a day dedicated to social outreach and the profound impact we can have by helping others.
At Cana Communities, our staff engaged in hands-on activities that reminded us of the importance of compassion and service in our work and lives. We spent time learning about the incredible mission of Cana, which provides support to those in need, especially the homeless and marginalized. The experience was both humbling and inspiring, reinforcing our commitment to living out the values we strive to instil in our students each day.
As we worked together to assist in various tasks, we were reminded of the power of community and the joy that comes from serving others. This day was a powerful reminder of our mission as educators in a Catholic school to not only teach but also to model Christ’s love through action.
North Shore Athletics Carnival
Our students "Let their Light Shine" at the North Shore Athletics Carnival held at Olympic Park. Their enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and determination were on full display as they competed against other schools. We are incredibly proud of all our athletes who participated and represented Holy Family with such pride and excellence.
Parents & Friends (P&F) Forum
Our Parents & Friends Forum was held this week, where we discussed preparations for the upcoming Lindfield Art Show and Fair. This event is a significant highlight in our school calendar, and it was wonderful to see so many parents come together to contribute their time and ideas. The Lindfield Art Show and Fair is sure to be a wonderful community event. A special thanks to the many parents who are working together to make the LASF a huge success.
Mercy College
Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Mrs. Brenda Timp, Principal from Mercy College, Chatswood for a special visit. Mrs. Timp spoke to our Year 2 to Year 6 girls about the opportunities available at Mercy College, providing valuable insights into the educational pathways and experiences that await them. It was an inspiring session, and I know our students left feeling excited about their futures.
Celebrating Father’s Day
Next Friday, we have a wonderful morning planned to celebrate and honour the fathers and father figures in our school community. It's always a special occasion to come together and recognize the important role these men play in the lives of our students.
The morning will kick off at 7:45 am with a delicious breakfast, where dads and children can enjoy some quality time together. At 8:15 am, we’ll get the energy flowing with a fun workout session designed for both the children and dads. This is a fantastic way to start the day and share in a healthy and active experience. Following the workout, we’ll transition to our liturgy preparations. The liturgy will begin at 9:00 am, where we will gather to reflect and give thanks for the blessings of fatherhood and the guidance these special men provide. The event will conclude by 9:30 am. The children may wear their sports uniform on Friday. I look forward to seeing many of you there as we celebrate this important day together.
I want to thank everyone for their continued support and commitment to our school community. The collective efforts of our students, staff, and parents make Holy Family a truly special community.
