Principals' Message

Mrs Dominica Bearman

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the halfway mark of the term. Where has the year gone? It is certainly moving very quickly. The students have certainly been busy in the classroom, learning new concepts, consolidating past concepts and showing a true enthusiasm and love for learning. It gives us great pleasure to visit the learning spaces and see students happy, smiling and engaged in their learning. I thoroughly enjoy asking students about their learning and hearing their responses.

Annual School Survey

An annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese this term. The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to affirm practices and inform school improvement. The surveys were launched via email last Monday, 26 August 2024 using the email addresses supplied to the school. The survey will close on Wednesday, 4 September 2024.

School Uniform

The official changeover to the Summer school uniform is Term 4. However, with the weather now warming up, students may wear either the Winter or Summer uniform from next week. Parents are advised to use their discretion depending on the weather. Please remember that we do not mix the winter and summer uniforms. Therefore, depending on your choice, the students are to be dressed in either Full Winter Uniform or Full Summer Uniform

Happy Father's Day

Wow! It is that time of the year when we say a massive thank you to all of our amazing father's. Father's Day is a celebration of fatherhood; a time for us to honour, celebrate and to be thankful for all of the men, father figures and male role models in our lives. We recognise the very important role you play in the lives of children, so thank you to all of the dads and father figures in our school community.

Today we held our Father's Day BBQ. We hope you all enjoy a very happy Father's Day this Sunday surrounded by the special people in your lives.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Over the past weeks, we have been working closely with the Armidale Catholic Schools Office to tighten our approaches to student attendance. We ask that families continue encouraging their children to attend school daily. The impact of having days off is visible in the children’s learning outcomes and continues through their life choices in years to come. The following tables show the data on missing school.
