Cinéma Gastronomique Screening of 'A la Belle Étoile'

Thursday 21 August from 5.30pm. Film starts 6.30pm.

Join us for the first film in our Cinéma Gastronomique series for semester two!

We invite students, staff, alumni and friends to come along and enjoy French wine and canapés followed by A la belle étoile (Sugar and Stars) (2023) in French with English subtitles. This compelling film is based on champion pastry chef Yazid Ichemrahem’s autobiography and stars Algerian-born Riadh Belaïche.

 

When: Thursday 21 August

5.30 pm for drinks and canapés - 6 .30 pm for film commencement

Event finishes at 8.30 pm.

So Frenchy So Chic presents LE GRAPE ESCAPE, a tour de France of Wine showcasing 110 wines from 13 regions of France: Alsace, Auvergne, Chablis, Beaujolais, Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Champagne, Jura, Languedoc Roussillon, Loire Valley, Provence, Rhône, and Savoie .

 

Discover a menu curated by some of the best French-inspired artisans and eateries in Melbourne, including a Cheese and charcuterie selection, Entrecôte's signature steak sandwich (mitraillette), raclette and more to be announced soon!. 

 

L'artisan Cheese Organic and Long Paddock Cheese will also present a selection of fine cheeses available for sampling and purchase, with more food partners to be announced closer to the event weekend. It wouldn't be a So Frenchy So Chic event without music. SFSC DJs will create a relaxed atmosphere at the venue with chilled and timeless songs throughout the weekend. This will fully immerse you in the food, drink, and music experience.
