Perceptual Motor Program (PMP)
The PMP (Perceptual Motor Program) is continuing this term. PMP is a movement based program which helps students improve their eye/hand and eye/foot coordination, as well as balance and tracking. We have a number of activities that use equipment for the children to practise their gross motor skills. This in turns helps them with other areas of growth, including fine motor skills that are needed for handwriting, cutting etc. The children rotate through them and do all activities over the fortnight.
We need 8 to 10 parent helpers at each session to successfully run the program. Please let your child’s teacher know if you’re available and want to help. Please remember that parent helpers are required to comply with our Child Safety policies, and must:
- Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Sign the Child Safety Code of Conduct acknowledgement – sign form provided at School Office when presenting your WWCC.
- Complete the OH&S induction for volunteers with Gabby at the School Office.
We won’t be able to have any siblings attend due to the nature of the activity.
PMP will run on Tuesday in Term 3 from 2.30pm in the Stadium.
