Principal's Message

Dear Families,
Knowledge Society
We are well and truly enjoying our learning journey with Knowledge Society. So far, we have introduced and are beginning to embed;
- Entry Routines
- Cue to Start
- Exit Routines
These routines are explicitly taught, used by all teachers in our school and are designed to create a calm, organised environment. The children have embraced these changes and understand the new expectations.
As a staff, we have also introduced the above following school rules. These rules sit beside our school wide expectations and help guide acceptable behaviour at our school. As a staff and school community, we have adjusted our rules to suit the needs we are finding in our school.
If a child in our school breaks one of our rules, parents will receive an email communication from the classroom teacher, specialist teacher or leadership team member to state the rule what has been broken. As a school staff, we will apply an appropriate consequence within our environment but would appreciate the support at home by discussing the rules with your child at home, each time you receive a notification from us.
Thank you to those parents who have received emails and supported us by having a discussion with your child in the home environment. So far the impact of Knowledge Society and the hard work teachers have put into routines has been remarkable! I am so incredibly proud of our staff and students for embracing these changes.
2026 Enrolments
Thank you to all parents who have completed the first step of our enrolment process. Moving forward, I will be meeting with each family to complete the enrolment contract. Stay tuned for interview times!
Advisory School Council
Our Lady's is seeking to re-establish our Advisory School Council. The Advisory Council serves as a consultative and advisory group for the Principal in order to inform and gain feedback from the broader school community. Members of the Advisory Council;
- actively support, in collaboration with the local parish, the Vison and Catholic Identity of our school
- provide parental and local community input into strategic planning, school improvement, child safeguarding practices and school review
- support the Principal in meeting their accountabilities for educational outcomes, effective stewardship of resources and annual reporting
- actively support the Principal in the encouragement of parent/carer engagement
- provide a means by which the CESL Executive (and thereby the CESL Board) can dialogue with and hear from school community members
Nominations are currently being invited from the community. Nominations (which can be self-nominations) should be in writing and delivered to myself directly. This can be done via email.
Reminder - School Closure Day
Blessings,
Cassie
