PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

The Moorabbin Primary School Community touch the land and think of the Bunurong People and surrounding Clans of the Kulin Nation

who cared for the land before us.

We share our gratitude to their Elders past, present and emerging.  As we touch this land, we promise to treasure it, taking care of all its people, animals, plants and waterways. We at Moorabbin Primary School appreciate this land.

Thank you.

Dear Families and Carers of Moorabbin Primary School,

What a fantastic few weeks we’ve had at Moorabbin Primary School! It’s hard to believe how much we’ve packed into such a short time, and it’s a true reflection of the vibrant, supportive, and hard-working community we’re so lucky to be a part of.

A huge congratulations to our Grade 3 and 4 students who returned from camp today, what an incredible achievement!

For many, it was their first time away from home, and they embraced every challenge and experience with such positivity and resilience. I want to sincerely thank the dedicated staff who attended and supported the students every step of the way, as well as the team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to plan and coordinate every detail.

A special thank you also to the wonderful parent volunteers who gave up their time to join the adventure—we truly couldn’t do it without you!

We are also thrilled to see our new school gymnasium nearing completion. The space is already looking fantastic, and we can’t wait for our students to enjoy all the opportunities this facility will bring—from sport and PE to whole-school events and community gatherings. Watch this space for an opening celebration!

Rehearsals are in full swing for our upcoming school concert, and the energy around the school is electric! Every class has been busy practising their dances, and our lead actors are working hard learning their lines. It's shaping up to be a show to remember, and we’re so proud of the enthusiasm and creativity our students are bringing to the stage.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our Jeans for Genes Day fundraiser. We’re proud to announce that we raised a fantastic $755 to support genetic research! A massive thank you to Lisa in the office for her incredible effort in organising such a successful and meaningful day for our school community.

Thank you all for your continued support and involvement—there’s never a dull moment at MPS, and it’s a joy to see our students thriving!
