Principal's Report

Welcome back for Term 3

We are so pleased to be back at school for Term 3. We hope that everyone had a good mid-year break, whether it was spent at home or on holidays.

There are quite a number of events happening this term, with the first being the Athletics Carnivals, taking place on Wednesday, 30th July (this week). The students in Preschool, Kindergarten, Years 1 and 2 will have their Athletics carnival at school. Students should wear their sport uniform and running shoes. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. During the lunch and recess breaks, I am requesting all parents, carers and younger siblings go to the hall. Tea and coffee will be available.

The Athletics Carnival for students in Years 3 to 6 will travel by bus to Rosford St Reserve in Smithfield. All students should wear their sport uniform and shoes for running. Please ensure that students arrive at school on time as buses will transport the students from 9.15am. If students are participating in the 800m, they must be at school for an 8.30am departure. Parents and carers are welcome to attend but are not permitted on the field. The students will return to school by 3.10pm.

Let's hope that the weather is fine, for what I'm sure, will be a great day for all students, staff and families.

Public Education Week 2025 - Week 3

Education Week is an opportunity to acknowledge our exceptional staff, celebrate the achievements of our students and recognise why we proudly choose public education, where every child reaches their full potential.

Public Education Week 2025 (from August 4th to 8th) celebrates this year’s theme, 'Ignite your potential'. During this week, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our school staff and families who uplift the learning of our students every day and help them realise their potential.

There are a number of activities planned. Look for the tile called 'Public Education Week' in this newsletter for what is happening each day.
